One Man. One Bicycle. One Request.
Every day, cyclists and drivers share the same road, but not always the same understanding. We believe a simple act of kindness can change that.
Welcome to #SaveTheCyclist, a movement born on the streets of Mira Road/ Mumbai. We're not about blame or confrontation. We're about building bridges and fostering empathy—one chocolate at a time.
🍫 Why a Chocolate?
Because kindness disarms.
Founded by Edward Pinheiro, our mission began with a direct and sweet approach. Instead of a frustrated wave, Edward pedals through the streets, approaches drivers with a warm smile, and hands them a chocolate.
With it comes one simple, human request:
"I'm a cyclist. I have just one kind request... Please watch out for us cyclists on the road while you drive."
This small gesture stops aggression before it starts. It makes the message memorable and the messenger, a friend. It reminds every person behind the wheel that the cyclist they see is a parent, a child, or a friend just trying to get home safely.
Our Guiding Principle
"We don't need protection from one another—we need understanding."
— Edward Pinheiro, Founder
🤝 Join the Movement
You don't need to be a cyclist to be part of the solution. All it takes is a smile, a little more mindfulness, and the willingness to see the person, not just the bike.
